What Is Free4ALL?
Free4ALL™ is a grassroots care network founded + launched in 2023. It operates primarily in Connecticut as mobile mutual aid in the form of pop-up free stores, teach-ins, and events called Free4ALLs. We also offer online support, including 1:1 and group peer support via FreeCare and BlackCare. Free4ALL is a liberation art project that practices mutual aid as community-led infrastructure, not crisis response. The goal is to materialize our dreams of a world that exists outside the carceral state. Our Work is sharing the responsibility of doing what we can with what we have, growing our capacity to do more each and every day.
We do not raise money for/make donations to anyone we don’t know. Community is built on trust, and trust takes time, effort, and connection.
From Christabel Mintah-Galloway – Community is not an emergency service. It’s pre-existing infrastructure built on years of “long-suffering,” boring, unglamorous presence.
